FAQ's & Help Centre

Returns & Refunds

What's your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy on eligible items. You have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return. Items must be unused, in their original condition and packaging, and you'll need proof of purchase.

Can I return coffee once it's been roasted and dispatched?

Unfortunately not, as coffee is a fresh, consumable product that's roasted to order. Once an order has been placed and sent for fulfilment, it can't be amended, cancelled, or returned — including sealed, unopened bags. This applies even within the 30-day window, as roasted coffee can't go back into stock.

Can I cancel or change an upcoming subscription delivery?

Yes, but only before the roasting deadline. We send a renewal reminder email with quick links to delay or reschedule your upcoming order 3 days before it is processed. If you don't action it before the reminder deadline, the coffee will be roasted and dispatched as normal, and the order can no longer be changed or cancelled.

What if my order arrives damaged, wrong, or faulty?

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives and contact us straight away at orders@tradingpostcoffee.info if anything is damaged, faulty, or incorrect, so we can help.

Subscriptions

Why choose a Trading Post subscription?

A subscription means freshly roasted coffee arrives on your schedule, meaning no last-minute runs, no empty bags. Tell us what you drink, how you brew it, and how often you need it, and we'll handle the rest.

Do I save money by subscribing?

Yes! New subscribers get 25% off their first order, 20% off their second, and 10% off every order after that, plus free 48-hour delivery every time.

What grind should I choose for my brewing method?

You can choose your grind when placing your order. Here's a quick guide:

Whole Bean: grind fresh at home for maximum flavour and flexibility across any brewing method

Espresso: a fine grind, suited to espresso machines and stovetop moka pots

Cafetière: a coarser grind designed for French press brewing

Filter/V60: a medium grind, perfect for pour-over and drip methods

AeroPress: a versatile medium-fine grind, between espresso and filter

Not sure which one suits your setup? Drop us a message, and we'll point you in the
right direction.

How much coffee should I order, and how often?

It depends on how much you drink and how many people are brewing:

  • 1–2 cups a day, 1 person: 250g every week
  • 3–4 cups a day, 2 people: 750g every 2 weeks
  • 5–7 cups a day, 3+ people: 1kg every 3 weeks

You can adjust your frequency at any time through your account.

How do I manage my subscription?

Everything is handled through your Trading Post customer account. Log in anytime to swap your coffee, change your delivery frequency, skip an order, pause or cancel your subscription, or update your payment and delivery details.

Can I pause or skip a delivery?

Yes if you're going away or your cupboard's already stocked up, you can skip or pause your subscription from your account whenever you need to.

Gift Cards

Do you sell Gift Cards?

Yes. We sell gift cards in our coffee houses.

Can I buy or redeem a gift card online?

Not currently — gift cards are only available to purchase in one of our coffee houses and can only be redeemed in-store. We don't yet offer gift cards for online purchase or redemption on tradingpostcoffee.info.

Loyalty & Rewards

What is the Trading Post rewards program?

Every time you shop with us, you earn points. Those points turn into discounts on future orders.

Do I need to sign up separately?

No, if you have a Trading Post account, you're already in. There's no separate signup or form, just shop as normal, and the points take care of themselves. If you don't have an account yet, create a customer account to get started.

How do I earn points?

Place an order and you'll get 5 points for every £1 spent on product purchases.

How much is a point worth?

For every £1 you spend, you earn 5 points. Once you hit 100 points, you can redeem them for £1 off an order, with rewards scaling up to £10 off at 1,000 points.

Can I use my in-store points online, or my online points in-store?

Not at the moment. Our online store loyalty programme and our in-store loyalty points are two separate schemes. Points earned on purchases in our coffee houses can only be
redeemed in-store, and points earned on tradingpostcoffee.info can only be redeemed online. They don't carry across between the two.

How do I spend my points?

Open the “Ways to Redeem” tab in your account to see what's available. Once you've got enough points for a reward, you can apply them straight to your next order.

Are you a sustainable or ethical coffee company?

Sustainability sits at the heart of what we do. We're Rainforest Alliance certified and Soil Association Organic certified (our Green Monkey blend), and in 2025 we became a Certified Carbon Neutral business, having measured and offset our full footprint across roasting, packaging and delivery.
